Jim brings over 30 years of experience in retirement planning and investment consulting. Jim’s career began in 1986 with The Mutual life insurance Company of New York in the Underwriting and Risk Analysis Group for the company’s Guaranteed Interest Contracts and stable value products.
From there, he was promoted to Vice President in the Manager Monitoring Group for Diversified Investment Advisors, where he was instrumental in designing and implementing the Firm’s external investment manager selection and monitoring processes. Jim and his group had direct responsibility for the oversight of the company’s assets which were placed with external investment management firms acting in a sub-advisor capacity.
Jim then became a Vice President/Portfolio Strategist, where he maintained successful long-term partnerships with clients as a trusted investment consultant and portfolio strategist with the direct investment oversight for client portfolio’s with assets totaling over $3.1 billion. He provided investment advice and consulting services to the mid to large pension plan market. Jim implemented investment methodologies to provide clients with investment advice based on a very detailed plan specific analysis, which was combined with extensive industry, capital markets research and product knowledge, that was suited specifically to each client’s long-term investment goals.
Jim also brings experience as a Pension Consultant and Financial planner with EY, where he was able to utilize his vast experience and expertise toward the participant, guiding each toward a successful retirement, utilizing his knowledge in investment management, insurance and retirement plans.
Jim is a graduate of the American International College and holds his Series 65.
Jim and his wife Linda have been married for over 30 years and are proud parents of 3 children named Jessica, Nicole and Justin.
